Very briefly -  Grammar school (‘O’-levels, ‘A’-levels), University (degree in English Literature and History), then work (Royal Mail, Barclays Bank Group, Lloyds TSB Group).

 

Apart from the first two years, my employed life was a marketing career culminating in a Head of Department role.

 

So, when you hire me … you’re not only hiring my ability to write. You are also hiring a 25 year marketing background.

 

It means I have a commercial approach and bring a strategic dimension to my work.
